Masses at St Bridget’s during Covid-19

IN line with Victorian Health Department guidelines, Masses at St Bridget’s will be offered on Sundays and some weekdays with a limit of 50 worshipers permitted in the church at any one time (excluding those required to conduct the service.) Sunday Masses will be at 10am and 5.30pm.

To be in the congregation (attend Mass) you need to prebook online through the parish website link

Bookings can be made from noon on Wednesday of each week. Bookings are only valid for the Sunday of that week.

Using the same parish website link, parishioners may also attend Masses at St Bede’s, St Anne’s or St Joachim’s churches.

Procedure:

Enter via the entrance doors only, ensuring that you observe the 1.5m distance requirement, check-in with the parishioner manning the door, sanitise your hands and proceed to a pew in the church. Family members only may be seated together other worshipers must remain apart.

On conclusion of Mass please leave via the exit doors, and do not congregate for a chat in the narthex.

Supporting the parish:

There will be no collections. Parishioners may leave envelopes or a Presbytery Offering in the baskets provided in the narthex. However, you are strongly encouraged to change your method of giving and make your donations using Credit Card, Direct Debit or on-line direct to the Parish Account

The current set of envelopes has finished. During to current circumstances, we are unable to distribute new envelopes. However, if you need to continue to use envelopes you may collect a set from the Parish Office during office hours (Wednesday & Friday 9am – 3pm).

Services:

The help of two parishioners to assist with the cleaning of the Church after each Mass is needed. If you can assist, please advise the Parish Office. You will not be required to book for Mass if volunteering as the cleaners.

At this stage Special Ministers of the Eucharist, Counters, Collectors will not be required at Mass. Children’s Liturgy and Tea/Coffee will not be held.
