SAINT Bridget’s priest in residence, Fr Dr Kevin Lenehan has been appointed the new master of Catholic Theological College.
In a letter to the College, September 3, Archbishop Peter A Comensoli said the appointment will be from September 16 till December 31, 2022.
The archbishop said he has great confidence in the expertise and experience that Father Lenehan will bring to this role, and he looked forward to Fr Lenehan’s contribution to Catholic Theological College over the years ahead.
Parish priest, Fr Mark Reynolds said Fr Lenehan is a most worthy successor to the outgoing CTC master, Fr Shane McKinley, who has recently been appointed Bishop of Sandhurst (Bendigo).
“There must be something in the water here at St Bridget’s as most will remember that Mgr Terry Curtin was also master before his appointment as Bishop,” Fr Reynolds said.
He said the roles however, are a little different as Catholic Theological College is now a part of the University of Divinity and so the role of Master of CTC is a little more complex and demanding.
Parish Council chairperson, Ric Carnale, on behalf of the parishioners, offered the parish’s congratulations to and prayers for Fr Lenehan, wishing him every success as he embarks on this new role at CTC.
