SACRAMENTS

Baptism
Baptism is usually celebrated on Sunday. Parents may choose to have it celebrated during the 10am Mass or after the Mass.

The ritual of the Sacrament may be by immersion in the water or by pouring. Both parents are interviewed by the Parish Priest and are usually prepared for the celebration of the sacrament by the screening of a DVD that outlines the various parts of the ritual and their significance.

Confirmation
Confirmation is usually celebrated by the Regional Bishop (Bishop Deacon) on a date chosen by him.

Children at St. Bridget’s School prepare at year 6. Children attending Non-catholic Schools are required to attend lessons on the six previous weeks that are held in the Narthex of the church.

Eucharist
Pupils attending St Bridget’s School are prepared in year 4. Pupils attending non-Catholic schools are prepared in the Catechist classes in year 4. (See Catechist Classes later.)

Reconciliation
Each Saturday 11am-11.30am.

Communion of the Sick
Each Sunday and each first Friday Holy Communion is taken to the sick or those unable to attend mass. Contact the Presbytery.
